BMC Elections 2022: Mumbai Charcha, a speaker series, to be inaugurated on January 26


The ongoing pandemic owing to the novel coronavirus has changed several political, social, and developmental dynamics within the city. The city’s governance also needs to adapt to meet these changes. 

Therefore, with the upcoming elections can serve as an opportunity for citizens to present their own visions of the city.

Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Elections 2022, Mumbai First and Blue Ribbon Movement have organised a 10-part speaker series titled “Mumbai Charcha”, which will be inaugurated on January 26, 2022 at 7 pm.

The conversation will be moderated by Abhishek Thakore – founder of the Blue Ribbon Movement – today. Speakers from various domain will be conducting session once in a week.

Each session will be a 40-minute discussion set against the upcoming MCGM elections, but also representing diverse set of people belonging to different sectors/ walks of life in the city.

The series also serves as a voter awareness campaign where we reach out to citizens, asking them to participate in voting and deliberate upon the city’s future.
