Ghoomar Mahotsav made New Records in Asia Book & India Book – The Times News


Under the joint aegis of Rajasthani Mahila Mandal, Bhiwandi and International Marwari Federation, new record is created by Ghoomar Mahotsav – 2022 organized at the ground of All Saints High School, Bhiwandi on Maharashtra Day. Near about 4000 girls and women from Kalyan, Dombivali, Shahad, Murbad, Ambernath, Karjat, Panvel, Thane, Mulund, Ghatkopar, Bhayandar, Mira Road and other nearby places, including Bhiwandi, performed the relay Ghoomar dance together. India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records recorded this achievement as new record.The Sponsores for the event was Dahlia Technologies Pvt Ltd.

With the aim of saluting the sacred memory of Maharana Pratap and brave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj this festival was organized on the occasion of Maharashtra Day to strengthen the relations between the Rajasthanis and Maharashtrians across the state including Thane, Mumbai. President of Federation Dr. Summan R Agrawal, Secretary Dr. C.P. Kumawat (Pintu), Mandal’s President Prema Rathi and secretary Kalpana Sharma were the convenor of this grand event. Mayor of Bhiwandi Mrs.Pratibha Vilas Patil inaugurated this spectacular program by lighting the lamp. In the program, Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Kapil Patil, Bhayander MLA Geeta Jain, senior social worker Manju Lodha, Bhiwandi BJP President Santosh Shetty, Shashilata Shetty, Minal Kapil Patil, Gopal Thakur etc. were present as chief guests.
Maharashtrian, Punjabi, Sindhi, Gujarati and other linguistic-provincial groups, including women and girls of Rajasthani samaj, were also involved as participants in this glorious program organized on the holy land of Sant Bhoomi Maharashtra, so that overall it is like a mini India. The color of unity in diversity was not only seen, but the immense form of female power was also realized. To make this program successful many leaders of different fields and organizations including the Vice President of the mandal Nirmala Heda, Secretary Raksha Karva, Treasurer Mangala Somani and other office bearers provided special support. At the end of the program certificates were distributed to all the participants. There was tremendous curiosity and enthusiasm among all about this program organized after a gap of 2 years of Corona period.
