Interact Club Of Bharuch Successfully organised “Global Interact Week. Interact Week 2021 from 1st Nov 2021 – 7th Nov 2021. 7 Days, 7 RI Focus Areas and 14 Projects accomplished.

1st Day – RI Goal : Disease Prevention and Treatment (Date : 1st Nov 2021)

PROJECT 1 – Awareness Rally (Project Chairman – Int. Neel Mokaria)

Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may fill with fluid or pus (purulent material), causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. A variety of organisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can cause pneumonia.

Interact Club of Bharuch held an awareness rally near Station Road, Bharuch Where Interactors approached the local public and proposed various prevention and precaution methods.

PROJECT 2 – First Aid Kid Distribution (Project Chairman – Int. Dev Modi)

First aid is an important tool in quickly responding to accidents to ensure that injuries can be efficiently and promptly dealt with before a trained medical professional arrives to administer more specialised treatment. First aid in schools is especially helpful as children often get into accidents that can need swift care in order to prevent things from escalating.

With this thought, Interact Club of Bharuch Prepared and Donated 5 First Aid Kits at 5 government destinations to ensure that the needy are treated properly in any emergency situation.

2nd Day – RI Goal : Water and Sanitation (Date : 2nd Nov 2021)

PROJECT 3 – Sanitary Napkin Distribution (Project Chairman – Int. Yukta Rana)

Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) is an essential aspect of hygiene for women and adolescent girls between menarche and menopause. Hygiene- related practices of women during menstruation are of considerable importance. Although not every female in India has proper awareness and access to it.

considering the same Interact Club Bharuch conducted a seminar on Menstrual information and also Distributed Sanitary Napkins among the teenage girls at Juvenile home Bharuch.

PROJECT 4 – Poster Making Competition (Project Chairman – Int. Divyakumar Pandey)

“you will never Solve poverty without solving water and sanitation 

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation causes 80% of all sickness and disease in the world. Sanitation and cleanliness are among the humblest of the civic virtues, and we need to always be vigilant to these issues.
Interact Club Bharuch Conducted an online poster making Competition on the topic “Save Water” where participants could mail a picture of their hand-made poster at the official email of Interact Club Bharuch.

There were 2 Age category’s, top 2 winners were picked out of each category and were felicitated along with getting their poster featured on the Official Instagram account of Interact Club Bharuch.

3rd Day – RI Goal : Economy and Community Development

PROJECT 5 – Service at Gurudwara (Project Chairman – Int. Yug Gupta)

“No Joy Can Equal the Joy of Serving Others”

On the 3rd day of Interact week, Interact Club Bharuch went o to volunteer at the Gurudwara located in Bharuch where the

Interactors served food to the Pilgrims and worked as a helpin hand to the community kitchen.

PROJECT 6 – Diya Sale (Project Chairman -Int. Aryan Saindane)

“Economic growth without Investment in human development is unsustainable and unethical”

Barriers to full social and economic inclusion of people with disabilities include inaccessible physical environment and transportation, the unavailability of assistive devices and technologies, non-adapted means of communication, gaps in service delivery, and discriminatory prejudice and stigma in society.

In order to break this barrier and help people with disabilities have their chance at earning, Interact Club of Bharuch on Account on Diwali Purchased Hand-made Diya’s Decorated by Specially Abled kids of Kalrav School Bharuch and sold them in the Rotary Community.

4th Day – RI Goal : Maternal and Child Health (Date : 4th Nov 2021)

PROJECT 7 – Toys Donation (Project Chairman – Int. Sachit Modi)

“A Happy Child is a Healthy Child”

Raising healthy, happy children is challenging in our fast-paced, technology-driven world. Everyday uncertainties like inadequate access to basic needs or school safety are just two examples of real problems faced by today’s youth. Especially amongst the underprivileged kids.

Rising to this issue Interact Club Bharuch Donated Toys to the kids of Munshi Balwadi Bharuch. Seeing the Slum Children’s eagerness & excitement to play with the toys donated today was the most wholesome thing we’ve ever experienced.

PROJECT 8 – Maternal Morbidity Awareness (Project Chairman – Int. Manya Modi)

moment of unimaginable joy is what a mother feels when a new-born is placed on her arms – a joy every mother should have the right to experience. But for many pregnant women in India this memory will never come to be, the moment of birth is often frightening.

Maternal Morbidity is any condition that is attributed to or aggravated by pregnancy and childbirth which has a negative impact on the women’s
wellbeing and/or functioning.

Apropos to this Interact Club Bharuch made an awareness video on Maternal Morbidity and Mortality and posted it on it’s official social media pages.

5th Day – RI Goal : Save Environment (Date : 5th Nov 2021)

PROJECT 9 – Tree Plantation (Project Chairman – Int. Pearl Chadderwala)

Trees provide us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air, access to clear water, shade, and food. They also give us hope and insight, and courage to persevere – even in the harshest conditions. Trees teach us to stay rooted while soaring to great heights.

Getting inspired from this, Interact Club of Bharuch held tree plantation at Bharuch ward no. 4 where 50 trees were planted.

PROJECT 10 – Park Cleanup (Project Chairman – Int. Rinkesh Jaipal)

Cleanliness means that there is no dirt, no dust, no stains, no bad smells. The goals of cleanliness are health, beauty, absence of offensive odour and to avoid the spreading of dirt and contaminants to oneself and others.

Sanitation and neatness play an important role in our day to day routine. It is important as it prevents dangerous diseases like Dengue, typhoid, hepatitis, and other diseases caused by mosquito bite, etc.

In reference to this, Interact Club of Bharuch held a cleanliness drive in a public garden where the dust, garbage & dirt which was occurred by the bursting of crackers was cleaned.

6th Day – RI Goal : Basic Education and Literacy (Date : 6th Nov 2021)

PROJECT 11 – Hand Washing Workshop (Project Chairman – Int. Aastha Talati)

“Clean your Hands, Protect your Health”

while Germs are everywhere, Keeping your hands clean is one of the easiest and the most important steps one can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. And Kids in such cases are very easy victims of germs, they pick up germs

Keeping this in mind, Interact Club of Bharuch held a Basic Hand Washing Workshop in the Slums to teach the slum kids the correct, most easy and effective way of hand washing and keeping their surroundings clean.
As it was the birthday of Interact Club on 6th November, we also distributed chocolates among the children which brought a smile on their innocent faces.

PROJECT 12 – Visiting the IW Blind & Disabled Centre (Project Chairman – Int. Hanisha Rajane)

Interact Club Bharuch Visited the IW Empowerment centre for the Blind And Disabled, where Interactors socialised as well as distributed some refreshments.

It was great to experience how those people manage to earn a living despite of their disabilities.

They may face lack of vision but the confidence and willpower of Living a life on their own was something worth appreciating.

Hence IC Bharuch has also decided to start a Permanent literacy project of story telling for the younger blind children who are not able to go to regular schools at the IW Blind Centre.

7th Day – RI Goal : Save Environment (Date : 7th Nov 2021)

PROJECT 13 – Morning Yoga Session (Project Chairman – Int. Lisa Patel)

Yoga’s incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person’s mental well-being. “Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration,”

Interact Club of Bharuch organized a morning Meditation and Yoga Seminar for interactors on the occasion of the last day of interact week. It was a one hour Meditation + yoga session withYoga Guru Mrs. Nargis Parmar.

PROJECT 14 – INTERACT WEEK 2021 CELEBRATION (Project Chairman – Int. Arman Jamadar)

Fellowship is really Important to maintain social relationships and to avoid any conflict. Hence Interact Club Bharuch on the Last Day of Interact Week had a little celebration where Interactors had a cake cutting ceremony as well.
