KKR’s Pat Cummins and Venkatesh Iyer scored 56 and 50 respectively which helped them win over MI. While KKR kept losing wickets at regular intervals, it was these two players who saw the game through and ensured that their team crossed the finish line.
From the MI camp, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma managed to score 52 and 38 respectively. With this, MI was able to put 161/4 on the board. Apart from them, Kieron Pollard also managed to score a quick 22 runs off a mere 5 balls. However, for KKR, Cummins counterattacked with two wickets.
MI captain, Rohit Sharma had yet another arduous outing in the opening with him managing to score a mere 3 from 12 balls.
In addition to offering a phenomenal performance with the ball, Cummins’s knock with the bat ensured that KKR cruised towards victory.
