*Animals Gone Wild producer Vevek Paul: ‘Awards are a great validation of the team work behind making shows”
The popular National Geographic show, ‘Animals Gone Wild’, was recently awarded at the Asian Television Awards (Singapore) along with winning two honours at the prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021. The show is hosted by the ever-brilliant Jaaved Jaaferi, who took on this project after a long break, and it is produced by Vevek Paul under his company Cinemaddicts9.
An elated Paul, who is the CEO and Founder of Cinemaddicts9, said, “We produced the first season of ‘Animals Gone Wild’ with Jaaved Jaaferi, and it was an honour for us that it was the first show that he was doing as a host after a very long break. Like its name, ‘Animals Gone Wild’, the show was very much a rollercoaster ride. These awards presented to the show and its creative excellence are the result of all the hard work and effort that went into the show behind the scenes.”
‘Animals Gone Wild’ gives the viewers an up-close look at the high octane, enthralling side of nature—from daredevil fights to heart-stopping escapes, amongst many other jaws dropping events. Paul believes bringing Jaaved Jaaferi onboard elevated the already mesmerising show to an entirely new level. “It was a really fun ride. Jaaved, as we know, has popularly enacted various kinds of characters in his projects, and watching him engage and synergise with the show was a real treat. Some of the bits and nuance that he adds to it, and the efforts that he puts in, are unparalleled. The fact that the show won The Best Entertainment Host at the Asian Television Awards (Singapore) and two popular awards from the Asian Academy, was the icing on the cake. We are happy that it received a much-deserved appreciation.”
Cinemaddicts9 has also produced several other award-winning shows, short films and documentaries including Science of Stupid with Maniesh Paul, and Black Briefcase and Banjar, of which Vevek Paul is the creative producer.
