Rotary Eye Center inaugurated in Boisar – The Times News


Mumbai – Global Grand Project ‘ Rotary Eye Center ‘ was launched at Adhikari Lifeline Hospital, Betgaon, Boisar-Tarapur Road, Boisar in Palghar district, by Rotary International, an organization that is continuously doing various creative work for public welfare at the international level. This center was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Agrawal, Governor of Rotary District 3141, who always had this dream of making a hospital in adivasi area, which became a reality.
According to Rotarian & well known women’s rights activist Dr. Summan R Agrawal, the function was hosted by Rotary Club of Mumbai West Coast, while the project was sponsored by Rotary Club of Tarapur, Rotary Club of Dahanu and Rotary Club of Palghar. The prominent personalities involved in the program include Presidents & office bearers of Rotary Club of Dudley (England), Rotary Club of Mumbai Inspire, Rotary Club of Mumbai Kalakar, Project-Chairman Dr. Arun Chaudhary, Advisor Dr. Bal Inamdar, Rotary Club of West Coast President Vishal Mundra, Adhikari Lifeline Hospital’s Director Manoj Adhikari and other project-related people were present .
Addressing to the program on this occasion, Dr. Rajendra Agrawal appreciated all the associate officials of the organization for their special contribution in this Global Grand Project of Rotary Eye Center and all those who were commited to provide all possible help for poor and needy people of the society to bring them in main stream of development. Within the last 10 months, the organization has successfully conducted 4500 cataract operations, under which the eyes of 20 thousand people were examined. He also added during his speech and expressed confidence that through the Rotary Eye Center set up in the Adhikari Lifeline Hospital, the organization would set new and higher heights regarding the health of the eyes of the poor and needy people.
